Baja Norte

We crossed the border at Mexicali East and had a friendly crossing to acquire our TIP (Temporary Import Permit) then headed south. On our second day in Baja, our friends Mark and Michele caught up with us at Papa Fernandez and we continued south together. We spent the majority of our time on the backroads from Bahia de Los Angeles to Highway 1. This year, it was evident that the paved roads have taken a toll to weather and traffic and the number of potholes has increased. We found ourselves adjusting to travel in Baja once again and were prepared for any random cow, no shoulders and many, many potholes…some that, if not missed could potentially stop you in your tracks.
